Today was one of those days that made me very happy that we have made the decision that we have made to move to Costa Rica. It wasn't terrible or even terribly frustrating but I kept listening to the conversations around me about just the day to day work and how difficult it is to get anything done and I am glad to be moving on. It seems that making and sticking to a decision at this university is a particularly difficult thing to do. If someone has a big enough tantrum, especially if it might show up in the local paper, then the initial decision is overturned. This reactive rather than proactive approach is what has driven me nuts!!! So nuts that I feel the need to settle down in Puerto Viejo :-) So okay - I can do that!!
